In Conversation with Brahma Sri Bangarayya Sharma Guruji

Bheeshanam Quality of Lord Narasimha-Fear inducing to the wrong doings. It is not just the form taken by the Lord in anger against injustice or wrong doings. It is also the form taken by the Lord in the extreme state of Kindness to save mankind fallen in the manholes of senses (becoming the slave of our senses)

Guruji referred to the Nirvana Shatakam, composed by Adi Shankara

na me dvesha ragau na me lobha mohau
na me vai mado naiva matsarya bhavaha
na dharmo na chartho na kamo na mokshaha
chidananda rupah shivo’ham shivo’ham

Meaning: There is no hatred nor passion in me, no greed nor delusion,
There is no pride, nor jealousy in me,
I am not identified with my duty, wealth, lust or liberation, I am the form of consciousness and bliss, I am Shiva (that which is not)

Due to ignorance/rigidity of Knowledge we perceive we are different from the Universal Energy. Just as Energy cannot be created not be destroyed, so are we being part of the supreme energy so we are never created nor destroyed, just flowing into different forms that we manifest, or unmanifest in no form. There are 7 forms of Agyanam (Ignorance), Bheeja Jaagra (God Created Universe, rather God is everywhere dwelling in ultimate happiness), Maha Jaagra, Jaagrat, Jaagrat Swapna, Swapna Jaagra, Sushupthi. This is Advaitha Sidhantham. We are stuck in the illusion of form and name.

Guruji quoted from the Kashi Panchakam written by Adi Shankara

yasyAmidaM kalpitamindrajAlaM charAcharaM bhAti manovilAsam || 1||

sachchitsukhaikA paramAtmarUpA sA kAshikAhaM nijabodharUpA || 2 ||

The indrajalam /paradise around is untruth. The Source of the Paradise is Truth. The Knowledge of that Source is present in me. Brahma Stithi, the one who mediates forgetting himself/boundaries of the form he/she is in.

There is nothing other than Happiness is the world. We are behind temporary pleasures, desires of the senses, but Ultimate Happiness has no relation to senses, nor it is bounded by the form we are in.

Guruji also quoted from Taittiriya Upanishad, BRAHMANANDA VALLI, SECTION 4 –MIND AND UNDERSTANDING: THE SHEATH OF THE INTELLECT

yato vacho nivartante . aprapya manasa saha

anandam brahmano vidvan.h . na bibheti kadachaneti .

He who knows the Bliss of Brahman, whence all words together with the mind turn away, unable to reach it—he never fears.
